Greetings everyone,

Here’s another way to help the victims of the natural disaster that has ravaged Japan.

This fundraiser is hosted by the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC), with support from community organizations throughout the Bay Area.

JETAANC will be hosting a community fundraising event in the upstairs mezzanine of O! Izakaya, located in the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco’s Japantown on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Donations will go to the JETAA USA Japan Earthquake Relief Fund and 100% of of the proceeds will be used to support earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

The event will give us a chance to come together in the midst of the unfolding disaster to mark the tragedy; show our solidarity and support to the Japanese people; raise money for the relief efforts; and give support to each other. This event is open to the public; please forward this message to others who may be interested in attending.

About JETAANC
The JET Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of current and returning participants of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. Sponsored by the Japanese government, JET Program participants live and work in communities across Japan, supporting local English education and internationalization efforts.
The all-volunteer organization serves as a network for JET participants returning to Northern California and Nevada, and provides assistance to the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco for a wide range of initiatives, including recruitment and orientation for the JET Program. We coordinate many activities throughout the year that support the continuing mission of the JET Program to foster grass-roots international exchange between the U.S. and Japan.
